Hello! I’m Grandma Kylie — genealogist, time traveller, DNA sleuth, and your companion in family history. Got questions? Just type them below like you’re chatting with me over a cuppa — I’m here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ready to help you explore your roots and uncover the secrets in your tree.
You can ask things like “Where do I find South Aussie birth records?” “Do you have photos of Adelaide?” or “Who was Clement Crispe?” and I’ll do my best to help, drawing on all the records, stories, and tips I’ve collected along the way. Most of the records are from 1836 to 1860. Go on — ask away!
Exciting update! Over 7,000 South Australian teachers from 1852 to 1960 have just been added to the Ask Grandma Kylie chatbot. This chatbot is unique in that it can cross reference SA teacher records with births, deaths and marriages and all the other carefully curated records it contains.
The Ask Grandma Kylie chatbot works on a pay what you can afford system. If it’s helped you and you’d like to support my work, you can shout me a cuppa.
